Property moguls planning to invest in homes abroad in 2012 may want to take note of advice from experts from the housing sector before making a money transfer.
Partner at Emerging Real Estate Tim Morgan claimed Brazil is a great destination for an investment, with the expected increase in tourism to the nation bound to boost property prices.
He claimed purchasing an abode in the country could be "a shrewd move" as Brazil is "in a relatively strong economic shape".
Other positive factors highlighted by Mr Morgan included the quality of living, "relatively" cheap lifestyle, and the fact investors own 100 per cent of their land and property.
Alternatively, director at Property-Abroad.com Les Calvert commented that now is a great time to buy in the US as currency exchange rates are unlikely to improve significantly in the short-term.
"With the way that the dollar and the pound are at the moment, it is as good a time as any to start looking at buying over there. I don't anticipate the dollar to drop much further against the pound," the specialist remarked.
Another country that may seem like a wise place to invest is Germany, as it was noted abodes in the nation's western cities are set to rise by three or four per cent annually.
This is according to founder of ProVenture Property Matthew Littlecott, who claimed strong rental demand remains in Stuttgart, Munich, Frankfurt and Hamburg.
Turkey was highlighted by Mr Morgan as another good spot for investment, with rising house and rental values continuing.
Meanwhile, founder of ThePanamaReport.com Matt Landau claimed Panama "offers a robust tenant pool" for those looking to lease a property.
He added that many "foreign retirees and businessmen" choose the rent-first, buy-later approach to test compatibility.

International money transfers to Dubai could be on the rise as a recent report has revealed the likelihood of a decline in property value in the emirates.
According to the Landmark Advisory, property in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai is likely to become more stable over the coming year.
This is due to the construcion of 15,000 new units.
Jesse Downs, director of research and advisory services at the Landmark Advisory, commented: "In Abu Dhabi, much of the new supply expected for delivery this year will rejuvenate a market that has a low average standard of quality for existing housing supply."
She added: "About 5,000 of these residential units will be delivered in the Investments Zones, like Marina Square, and we expect most of the hand-overs to be concentrated in [the third quarter of] 2010, which will result in a few key trends."
In addition, the levelling off of the market could renew interest from abroad.

Luxury property prices have fallen around the world, according to the Wealth Report from Knight Frank.
The report revealed that people who are considering making an international money transfer in order to buy a property abroad may not need to move as much money.
Some favourite relocation areas, including the Italian Lakes and Provence, fell by as much as ten per cent over the course of last year.
Liam Bailey, head of residential research at Knight Frank, commented: "Current price falls will be viewed by many as a buying opportunity, but as the data from our Prime International Residential Index shows, these windows of opportunity do not always remain open for long."
However, not all countries fell. Cities in the emerging markets, such as Hong Kong and Shanghai, grew by over 40 per cent.
While some investors have suggested that this could be a blip, a recent report from Batterymarch Financial Management has suggested that the emerging markets are unlikely to experience a growth bubble as over the past few years they have demonstrated "excellent staying power".

Experts have claimed that Australia's property market can offer "exceptional opportunities" for investors.
However, Britons may lose out due to poor foreign exchange rates between the Australian dollar and sterling.
Martin Hession of Australian Unity Investments claimed that a recovering economic climate and increased interest from overseas were combining to boost the Australian property market.
But Marc Da-Silva, a property journalist, highlighted in a recent interview that Britons were unlikely to benefit from the growing market.
"The pound has fallen quite a lot against the Australian dollar," said Mr Da-Silva, adding that this would lead to high costs for Brits looking to invest in the country.
RP Data-Rismark revealed that house prices in Australia grew by 2.4 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2009, confirming the growth trend.

Prices of property in Florida may be low, but the foreign currency exchange rates mean that Brits will need to fork out extra in order to buy a home in the US state.
Dan Johnson, a director at TheMoveChannel.com, said that Florida property "has not been good from a currency perspective", following drops in the value of sterling.
However, the low prices of property in the state may allow some Brits to still find a bargain.
"The market has fallen considerably in most of Florida and the reduction is symptomatic of the fact that there is still quite a lot of stock and there are still quite a lot of people wanting to sell and that represents a buying opportunity," the property expert commented.
His comments follow reports from ZipRealty, an online real estate brokerage, which found that property sellers in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach reduced their asking prices by an average of almost 15 per cent between January and February 2010.
The British currency is currently worth around $1.49. However, around three months ago, one pound sterling could have bought as much as $1.65.
It is thought that continuing political uncertainty is to blame for the drops in sterling's worth.

Despite fluctuations in currency exchange rates, the idea of owning property in France and Spain remains popular among Britons, according to a property expert.
Christopher Chadd, head of research from Property Frontiers, commented that the idea of a second home in the sun was the driving force attracting Britons to the European countries.
Mr Chadd said: "No matter what is happening in global property markets, nothing speaks to the British investor's heart as much as owning that second home in the sun."
He added that currency exchange rates were still important "as investors become ever more sophisticated and currency fluctuations more and more volatile, we are seeing a large number of investors looking for advice on currency plays".
Figures from Primelocation show that France was the most searched for property abroad for a year until Spain took the lead in November 2009.

America and Brazil have the "best deals" for property according to Property Frontiers.
Britons looking to emigrate west and transfer their money abroad could follow the advice of the property investment firm's head of research, Christopher Chadd, and invest in property in the Americas.
"The US is the epicentre of the global property crash" said Mr Chadd, clarifying why the best deals were to be found in the Americas.
The expert added that locations closer to home such as Spain, France, Italy and Portugal remain popular.
Mr Chadd explained "the fact that prices are still down year on year is no bad thing at all" because "markets need to correct and stabilise".
The advice comes after the global estate agent Knight Frank published its global property price index yesterday, prompting investors and emigrants to assess the security of putting money into foreign property.
Similar recommendations were made by Homesgofast.com which listed Brazil, France and the US as the top foreign investment locations for property in November of this year.
