Currency exchange rates could prove important to music fans who are considering going to the Hamburg festival.

The event features choreographers, directors, musicians and artists from all over the world and is taking place in the last three weeks of August.

Marieke Holfeld, head of communications at Kampnagel, commented: "It's an international festival and it's Hamburg's only international festival for theatre and dance.

"We've got dance companies from the UK for example and we've got an American theatre company from New York and a theatre company from France."

Using an independent foreign exchange broker to check currency exchange rates between sterling and the euro could help people to get the most for their pound.

This morning (August 17th) sterling was trading at €1.21 at 09:15 BST, following a gradual rise over the course of the month.
