Making an international money transfer could be one way of taking some of the stress out of moving abroad.

Shelter Offshore, an expatriate advice website, has recently suggested that people should do everything they can to take the stress out of the big move overseas.

One of the recommended ways of doing this was to plan everything ahead.

The site noted: "You need to plan for leaving your old life and entering your new one.

"So thought needs to go into untangling yourself from the likes of utility bills, employment and rental contracts in your old nation, and at the same time it needs to go into residency visas, travel tickets and accommodation and employment in your new nation."

Using an independent foreign exchange broker to help make an international money transfer could also help to simplify things when it comes to currency exchange rates.
