Brazil is becoming one of the "economic leaders of the 21st century", it has been claimed.
Author of Live and Work in Brazil Romasa Storey explained the South American country is politically stable because president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is back in power.
She added people now have the confidence to spend and this means its economy "is thriving" and is an attractive location to invest in property.
Those who do purchase a home in Brazil may wish to use an international money transfer system to help them seal the deal.
Visitors from the UK may also find they enjoy a favourable foreign exchange rate, as a report by Halifax Financial Services released in January 2009 explained sterling could buy 15 per cent more Brazilian real in December last year than six months previously.
Ms Storey's book is based on her own experience of moving 7,000 miles away from the UK. It includes suggestions and information on a number of topics including the country's culture, climate, how to obtain visas and property advice.
