Dubai is one of the "safest places" to buy property abroad, one industry expert has suggested.
The United Arab Emirates has been affected by the economic situation, explained homesgofast.com, but not as severely as other locations around the world.
Chief executive officer of the company Nicholas Marr believes that once confidence is restored in the housing market, the lower house prices in Dubai will lead to an increase in demand.
"This would be a good time to buy property that you may not have been able to afford say six months ago but it's all about the deal," he said.
Some developers may be offering incentives too, Mr Marr added, meaning Brits planning on using an international money transfer to buy a house might be able to get a good deal.
Dubai's real estate regulatory agency reported that the total value of land transaction in the city during 2007 was worth around £24.1 billion an increase of 170 per cent from the previous year.
Homesgofast.com promotes real estate in around 55 countries.
