Brazil is a "very easy" location to invest in foreign property, it has been suggested.
General manager of the Brazilian tourist office in London, Tom Falcao, suggested that Brits looking to buy a home there perhaps by using an international money transfer should have "no problem at all".
There has been a two-year poster campaign around London to attract visitors to the South American country and it is becoming an increasingly popular destination, he added.
Among other attractions, visitors can explore the two opera houses built in the middle of the Manaos jungle, which have been there since the 19th century.
Mr Falcao also stated that it had a very good infrastructure containing hotels and restaurants for tourists.
If Brits do invest in a property abroad, they could be exempt from paying inheritance tax if they let it out, explained DHC Accounting last month.
Tony Briscoe, director of the firm, said as long as the property has been owned for two or more years then most second homes should qualify for this benefit.
