A recent survey has revealed that more and more people are likely to have to work on international assignments.
The PricewaterhouseCoopers report found that the number of people working away from their native country has risen by 25 per cent in the past decade.
With numbers expected to grow by a further 50 per cent by 2020, many workers may want to take advantage of the money-saving currency exchange offers available.
Rhiannon Davies, co-founder of Shelter Offshore, issued the following advice: "Banks are never the best way to move money if you want to avoid huge charges and ensure you get the best rate of exchange."
She suggested that people abroad look to independent currency brokers when moving money because these establishments can offer "lower fees and charges and offer better rates of exchange because of the volumes of business they do daily".
