BUPA has been named as the best healthcare provider for expatriates.

A poll by International Investment Magazine named BUPA the "Best International Healthcare Provider" for 2009.

Voters chose BUPA as they believed it was the most experience and professional.

Tim Slee, BUPA International's sales director, said: "Our multi-lingual advisers speak more than 30 languages and can help with everything from minor injuries and routine healthcare appointments to emergency evacuation - offering comfort to customers wherever they are in the world."

Some countries do not have a national health service, while others, like Spain, do not offer all forms of medical care to expatriates.

Because of this, many expatriates choose to take out private health insurance to assure them they will receive any care they might need.

BUPA received was also awarded "Best International Provider" by Health Insurance magazine in October 2009.
