La Tania has seen a steady flow of Brits visiting the region, according to industry experts.
The Office de Tourisme de La Tania recently made the claim following the release of figures from the Ski Club of Great Britain that reveal France is consistently popular with UK skiers.
Arnaud Favet, from the tourism office, explained La Tania appeals to British travellers and expats due to its cheaper amenities.
He said: "We have a big English community here.
"Some English locals have been here ten years now and they have pubs, chalets and businesses here."
Research by the organisation shows accommodation in the resort costs up to a third less compared with surrounding areas, which may interest Brits who wish to make the most of their foreign exchange transactions.
In other news, Rail Europe recently claimed that Brits prefer to reach ski resorts by train rather than plane as fees regarding the transportation of equipment tend to be lower.
