UK citizens may be able to significantly boost their disposable incomes by working abroad, industry experts indicate.

The recent NatWest International Personal Banking's Quality of Life Index reveals 90 per cent of expats report they earn more overseas, which may interest Brits who are looking to transfer money to fund new lives abroad.

Figures from the research show Hong Kong is a lucrative destination for former UK citizens, with nearly 50 per cent of them bringing in more than £100,000 a year, the Telegraph reports.

Dave Isley, from the bank, told the paper: "Our report has shown that UK expats could definitely expect to see their salaries increase when working abroad.

"This is likely to be one of the biggest attractions for expats."

In other news, investors who wish to make money transfers to overseas assets have been urged to consider the US by property expert Mayfair International Realty.

The firm stated that house prices recently increased in the country, indicating that the property market is recovering from the recession.
