An increasing number of Brits will exchange money in order to travel to Turkey, according to a leading organisation.
The Turkish Culture and Tourism Office recently stated Istanbul's Capital of Culture designation is likely to attract more overseas visitors to the city.
Irfan Onal, director of the organisation, explained the country is ideal for Brits who are looking to enjoy its winter sunshine and favourable foreign exchange trading rates.
"Turkey is on a positive growth path," he said.
"Being outside the eurozone and with the Turkish lira offering great value against the euro, Turkey is an affordable year-round destination."
By 2012, 33 million people are expected to travel to the country each year, according to figures from the group.
Meanwhile, online travel firm Expedia recently stated the Far East is popular with Brits due to its cheap living costs.
