Thailand's favourable foreign exchange trading rates are likely to draw budgeting Brits to the country, industry experts suggest.
Online travel company Expedia recently indicated that Asia is an ideal location for those seeking affordable living costs.
Jonathan Cudworth, director of product management at the firm, explained that visitors to the area may find flights to long-haul destinations such as Bangkok are expensive, but this is offset by its cheap food and attractions.
He said: "Bangkok is very popular. What people are doing is taking advantage of the low prices in Asia and they are much lower than last year."
In other news, Etihad Airways recently announced it plans to increase its flights to the Far East next year to include Japan, which may interest expats travelling between the country and the UK.
