Brits keen on making the most of foreign exchange trading figures may like to visit Egypt.

The Egyptian State Tourist Office recently stated that the country is a popular destination for families who are looking to travel beyond the eurozone.

A spokeswoman from the organisation explained that as sterling weakens against the euro, Brits are increasingly drawn to Egypt.

"The country has always provided great value for money and being outside the eurozone now that the pound is so weak - it's even better," she said.

In addition, the spokeswoman commented on Egypt's sunny climate and the large number of fun activities that can be pursued in the country, which may also draw visitors to the state.

Meanwhile, research by the Co-operative Travel recently revealed that the number of people travelling to Sharm El Sheikh this week has rocketed by 142 per cent, as compared with the same period last year.
