Foreign exchange trading figures ought to be considered well before Brits jet off to overseas locations, industry experts suggest.
STA Travel recently highlighted the need to investigate the living costs of destinations when budgeting for international trips.
The firm explained that in some countries in Asia, £1,000 per month is an adequate amount to live well, whereas this amount may not stretch as far in other regions, such as Australasia.
Ian Swain, product director at the company, stated that when Brits are putting together a budget they should include money for accommodation, food and activities.
"We always tell people to lay out the clothes and money they are planning to take, then halve the clothes and double the money," he added.
Meanwhile, travel company Flight Centre recently named Dubai as a top destination for Brits this winter thanks to its warm climate and affordable accommodation deals.
