Mexico is likely to prove an affordable destination for expats, according to foreign exchange trading figures.
Figures released from International Currency Exchange recently revealed that sterling has grown in strength against the peso, with £1 worth 21.76 pesos.
Last year Brits converting their cash to the country's currency got 19.83 pesos per pound.
Manuel Diaz Cebrian, UK and Europe director of the Mexico Tourism Board, stated his belief that the favourable exchange rate is likely to attract UK visitors.
He encouraged Brits who wish to travel to the country to investigate its culture before leaving home, in order to make the most of their overseas experiences.
Mr Cebrian said: "Certainly the stability of the peso against the pound is good news.
"Familiarise yourself with our culture. Perhaps visit a traditional Mexican Marisqueria [fish market] or investigate one of the many gourmet Mexican restaurants."
Meanwhile, research by accommodation portal Hotel.com recently revealed that favourable currency rates make Melbourne and Toronto affordable destinations for Brits.
