Investors are becoming more confident in making money transfers to overseas property markets, according to industry experts.
Real estate website Rightmove.co.uk recently made the claim following the publication of figures from mortgage specialist Conti.
A poll by the loans provider revealed a 20 per cent increase in the number of investors wishing to make international payments to overseas mortgages.
Robin Wilson, from the real estate portal, explained that increases in house prices abroad and a rise in the availability of loans are drawing more people to foreign property markets.
He said: "People are returning to the market with a degree of confidence.
"As a consequence, while the interest is there, the time to buy is still relatively long. There is good interest coming through."
Meanwhile, research by Knight Frank's Global House Price Index recently showed that house prices rose in 50 per cent of countries surveyed during the second quarter of this year.
