Entrepreneurs looking to benefit from foreign exchange trading figures and lower taxes may like to move to Switzerland, industry experts suggest.
Consumer advisor BuyAssociation.co.uk recently drew attention to the country as a lucrative destination for Brits keen to make their wages stretch further amid the recession.
Paul Collins, property editor at the portal, explained that corporate taxes are lower in Switzerland than the UK, which may also tempt expats to the region.
He highlighted the recent trend of some Swiss real estate agents who contact UK-based business workers in order to pass on information about tax breaks available in the country.
"There has always been an interest in this," said Mr Collins.
"High ranking executives are always looking for a way to save on tax and there can quite often be incentives put together by local authorities in places like Switzerland."
The Knight Frank Global House Price Index recently revealed that Swiss house prices increased by 2.1 per cent between April and June of this year.
