Brazil may prove to be a lucrative destination for Brits wishing to make money transfers overseas, according to industry experts.

Property portal uv10.com recently claimed that Rio de Janiero's successful bid to host the 2016 Olympics will have a positive impact on its economy.

Samantha Gore, sales and marketing director from the website, explained that being chosen as the destination of the games indicated that the country's fiscal policies impressed the International Olympic Committee.

Ms Gore added that British investors looking to make international payments to assets in the region ought to consider buying property in areas that are popular with Brazilians.

"Look for an area where Brazilians have also bought in to, such as Pipa village south of Natal," she said.

"The Brazilians are the biggest target market for both rental and resale."

Meanwhile, a United Nations poll recently put Norway at the top of its Human Development Index.
