Potential expats wishing to make international payments to overseas investments may like to start looking for assets online, according to industry experts.
Loans provider International Mortgage Plans recently stated that the internet was a good starting place for Brits looking to purchase property abroad.
In addition, the firm pointed out that the web is ideal for finding affordable mortgage deals.
Adrian Wright, principal from the company, explained that searching the internet for homes means investors can shop more independently for assets.
He said: "They no longer have to rely on the sales pitch of the faraway agent or developer and can consult specific websites.
"For mortgages there is no need to look further than Google, using the key words: expat mortgages, expatriate mortgages and expat buy-to-let."
In other news, investment expert Hargreaves Lansdown recently suggested that Brits, who may be aiming to move abroad following their retirement, begin making money transfers to pension schemes earlier rather than later.
