Fluctuating foreign exchange rates may be confusing Brits purchasing goods abroad.
Consumer magazine Which? recently raised its concerns that UK travellers may be unaware of the impact that the global economy could have on sterling.
Dan Moore, senior researcher at the publication, explained that currency rates have been affected by countries that are emerging from the recession.
This indicates that Brits exchanging money to fund lives abroad may see differences in their cost of living.
Mr Moore said: "The currency markets have fluctuated quite a bit, even in the last month. We've increased our manufacturing output and the euro's stabilised.
"France, Germany and Japan have come out of recession and all these things have affected the price of sterling on the international market."
In other news, recent research by Tesco Travel Money recently revealed that just 48 per cent of UK travellers spend time finding the best foreign exchange deals before jetting off.
