Britons who have lost their jobs due to the recession have been encouraged to consider working abroad.
Travel portal gapyear.com recently highlighted the positive impact living overseas may have on CVs.
Tom Griffiths, founder of the site, stated his belief that Brits who are facing redundancy can improve their job prospects by seeking international work, which may interest those who are keen to exchange money to fund trips abroad.
"It is very easy for us to get stuck in our safety zone following the hamster wheel of life; we go from one job to another to get some money," he said.
"Now this is an opportunity to see the world for what it really is. All it ever does is to improve your life."
Figures from travel expert Year Out Group, recently revealed that a quarter of people choosing to temporarily work abroad are over 25-years old.
