The Australian government is still keen to attract overseas workers despite a decline in its job market.
Skilled Britons looking to use foreign exchange services to fund their move abroad may still find posts in the country.
Chris Evans, Australia's minister for immigration and citizenship, recently explained that new proposals will protect local jobs.
However, UK emigrants can still apply to work in the country via 457 visas if they possess skills that are in demand in the country, such as mining expertise.
"While the number of workers coming to Australia under the scheme has slowed, there will still be demand for skilled overseas workers in some sectors," said Mr Evans
"The temporary skilled migration program provides the capacity for employers to access skilled overseas workers to supplement the local workforce."
In other news, travel resource Gapyear.com recently stated that Brits who exchange money to work overseas may help to improve their job prospects.
