UK emigrants wishing to get more information on foreign exchange transactions can soon attend a government event.

The Department of Work and Pensions and the British Consulate have teamed up to host an information day regarding the finances of expats.

Brits who intend to use foreign exchange services in order to pay money into savings and pension schemes may be interested in attending the event.

The day kicks off at 08:00 on September 2nd in Calpe and offers expats the opportunity to pose questions on an array of topics, including consular assistance while abroad.

In addition, UK emigrants will be offered advice on benefit entitlements and pension schemes via group sessions and one-to-one meetings with experts.

Meanwhile, investment website Rightmove.co.uk recently stated that Brits are increasingly transferring money to mortgages on Spanish homes due to the country's low property prices.
