Britons using foreign exchange services to pay overseas bills may be able to cut their costs, it has emerged.
Price comparison service uSwitch recently announced it plans to launch new portals aimed at Europeans.
Presently, the number of similar websites available on the continent to UK emigrants is limited.
However, Nick White, commercial director of the portal, aims to give expats the opportunity to compare the costs of utility providers, which may interest Britons making foreign exchange transactions to fund household outgoings.
"We looked long and hard at a number of European countries and believe there is a great opportunity to establish a presence in many of them," he said.
"Spain was the ideal place for our first launch because Spanish consumers are receptive to the idea of switching and comparing to get the best deal."
In other news, real estate expert Property Frontiers recently reminded Britons transferring money to mortgages on repossessed homes to get houses surveyed.
