Potential UK expats should not be put off by news reports on Mexico if they are considering making money transfers to the country, according to industry experts.
Mexico International Real Estate recently stepped forward to highlight the destination as an ideal home for Britons and other emigrants.
Mitch Keenan, principal of the company, explained that the country offers a high quality of living but expats may be discouraged from making international payments to the area due to recent news reports.
"Press coverage about swine flu, drug cartels and economic problems in other parts of Mexico has scared people away from learning about living a life of luxury here," said Mr Keenan
"These problems do not affect the entire country and should not scare foreigners from visiting the best places."
Elsewhere, property expert Casa Travella recently named Italy as a "safe" location for expats looking for potential investments.
