Entrepreneurs who are considering transferring money to international investments can now benefit from a new resource.

The Overseas Security Information for Business (OSIB) was recently set up to assist UK investors setting up companies outside of their home country.

Britons can access information provided as part of the scheme through the UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) website.

The portal supplies information on security threats posed in up to 70 countries, which may interest those who make international money transfers.

"OSIB provides UK business with information relating to the security-related risks, which companies face when operating overseas," said the UKTI.

Guides are available that explain how investors can protect their assets from organised crime, terrorism attacks and corruption.

Meanwhile, financial advisor Shelter Offshore recently encouraged UK emigrants to seek expert tips regarding the management of their finances when they move abroad, due to changes in their tax status, which can affect income levels.
