Brits looking to make international money transfers to overseas ventures may like to consider Poland as a location for their investments.

According to Agence France Presse the country is potentially better-able to deal with the effects of recessions due to sound fiscal policies.

Speaking to the group, Mark Allen, economist from the International Monetary Fund, stated his belief that the region had fared better than surrounding areas amid the economic slowdown.

"Poland has come into this crisis in a rather stronger position than a number of other countries," he said.

In addition, the region's exports remain at healthy levels and foreign investors have continued to transfer money to the country, while fiscal policies have ensured that inflation remains fairly steady.

Meanwhile, financial advisor Shelter Offshore recently suggested Cyprus as an ideal destination for Brits transferring money abroad due to the region's low business taxes.
