International money transfers are becoming increasingly common as more people head overseas to find employment.
A growing number of Britons are choosing to emigrate to other parts of the world as the number of job opportunities in the UK continues to dwindle during the recession.
Some workers are being forced to make international money transfers in a bid to remain in work and the Sun reports on the latest raft of UK jobs to be transferred overseas, with workers at a call centre in Scotland being given the opportunity to head to Manila to remain in their jobs.
This is the latest in a string of businesses that are either looking to downsize or cut costs by transferring work abroad, giving some employees the opportunity to emigrate and begin a new life in a different country.
Earlier this month, the Times suggested figures from the Office for National Statistics are expected to reveal a surge in the number of people emigrating from the UK during 2008.
The newspaper pointed out there has been a steady rise in the number of people emigrating every year since 1998, with more likely to have left last year as the recession hit.
