Dubai is still proving a popular location for UK expats despite reports of redundancies in the area, it has emerged.
Investment bank Arqaam Capital recently revealed that Britons are still choosing to make international money transfers to the region.
Marc Hoodless, director of human resources at the bank, explained that expats are prepared to take pay cuts to move to the emirate.
"Candidates are more realistic now in terms of rationale for making a move and, of course, salary expectations," he said.
Figures from the bank show that pay for some roles has dropped by a third in the last six months.
However, Malcolm Wood, from recruitment firm Hamilton Chase, stated that expats in senior positions may still receive high salaries.
According to the Worldwide Property Show, Dubai is likely to draw expats wishing to make international money transfers due to the region's reliable infrastructure.
