British emigrants feature in Expat Power list

Emigrants from the UK are making the most of their overseas money transfers, according to new figures.

A poll by Arabian Business will soon reveal the most successful people working in the Gulf.

The publication expects several former UK citizens to feature in its Expat Power list, which is reported to boast 17 Britons.

Anil Bhoyrul, editorial director of the resource, explained that many of the highest earners are working in the financial sector for employers such as Qatar Investment Authority and Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.

However, Britons are also demonstrating their proficiency in other careers, according to the poll.

"Naturally a lot are from the finance sector, though it is clear that other sectors such as media and aviation also feature many prominent expatriates," Mr Bhoyrul told the publication.
