Certain hotspots in Thailand have been developed and priced to appeal to international buyers as well as domestic consumers, it was suggested this week.
Homesgofast.com chief executive officer Nick Marr said new flights to Phuket and Koh Samui have been created due to increasing demand for travel options that go further than the country's capital of Bangkok.
Those looking to transfer money abroad and emigrate might like the sound of the Patong Hill development, which has "beautiful views" and a beach close by, said Mr Marr.
"Holiday hotspots make great places to invest and it seems Phuket and Koh Samui are only just beginning," he added.
The property expert also stated such locations offer a combination of luxury and tradition so they could be ideal for would-be expats.
In related news, last week saw Atlas International's PR executive discuss the strength of the buy-to-let market in Turkey.
Giovanna Gentile identified the Bodrum peninsula as a particularly popular area.
