Brazil is a much cheaper place to live than the UK, it has been claimed.
This might make it a popular destination for property investors who are looking to purchase a house using an international money transfer system.
Romasa Story, author of Live and Work in Brazil, explained it is a great country because there is everything people need close by and it is economically and politically stable.
There are also more flights and connections available, making it a more accessible and affordable destination to travel to, she continued.
"It's very difficult to capture the essence of the country," Ms Storey said. "People should come and have a look - it is a great place."
Brits who are visiting the Latin American country this month may want to experience the world famous Rio Carnival.
It begins on February 20th, lasting for four days and includes an assortment of displays and performances, from samba parades to street parties, according to the organisers.
On February 11th 2009 at 08:45 GMT, HiFX stated the foreign exchange rate meant one British pound could buy 3.28 Brazilian real.
