It is vital for businesses travellers who are jetting off to America to have insurance, it has been claimed.

This advice could also be beneficial for those who visit the states regularly to stay in property they have purchased through an international money transfer system.

When going anywhere abroad, it is important for the voyager to know they can get home and have medical costs paid for should anything happen, explained international manager of Bupa Travel Services Natasha Heasmen.

In America it is especially crucial to have a valid policy because if someone is sick while in the country, they could face a medical bill for £40,000 upwards, she continued.

Ms Heasmen commented: "In today's society, with the rising cost of medical fees overseas, you need the protection."

Bupa is a global health and care organisation with more than seven million customers, offices on three continents and a 24-hour multilingual helpline.

The organisation aims to look after people's needs when they are overseas – whether on holiday or while on business.ADNFCR-1995-ID-19023309-ADNFCR
