Brits are beginning to get their confidence back in investing in overseas properties, it has been suggested.

Recently, there have been an increasing number of people from the UK selling their homes back to the locals in places such as France, explained head of private clients at currency exchange broker World First Elisabeth Dobson.

Although there has been a decline in the number of places abroad sold to Brits over the last six months, business is now picking up again, she continued.

Ms Dobson stated: "Some of our clients who maybe have been holding off buying a foreign property are considering it more now than they have done because there has been a little bit of sterling strength."

Those who are looking to buy accommodation in another country – perhaps by using an international money transfer system – may wish to look to invest in locations outside the eurozone.

According to World First, the cost of living in countries where they use this currency is now 20 per cent more than it was a year ago.ADNFCR-1995-ID-19030613-ADNFCR
