Foreign exchange services are increasingly used by Brits entering Croatia, according to industry experts.
The Post Office recently revealed that the Croatia Kuna has soared in sales this year and stated this reflects the growing number of UK citizens making foreign exchanges in the region.
Figures from the company have shown that 2009 has seen an eight per cent increase in sales of the country's currency compared with the same period 12 months ago.
Sarah Munro, head of travel services at the company, explained that the low cost of living was partly responsible for the rising number of Brits staying in Croatia.
"Croatia has been growing in popularity for some time now and in the early part of 2009, it is one of our fastest growing currencies," commented Ms Munro.
Current rates show that £1 is equivalent to 7.84 Croatia Kuna, meaning that Brits may find their savings will stretch further than if they were in other common expat destinations.
