Job opportunities in New Zealand could be responsible for an increase in the number of Britons making money transfers to the country.
Figures from Immigration New Zealand show that in the last year a staggering 83,000 people moved abroad to start new lives in the region.
The number of Britons making international money transfers to the region rocketed by 20 per cent, with job opportunities being a major draw for emigrants, according to Andrew Lockhart from the organisation.
"There is still a huge variety of opportunities available for skilled British workers who are keen to move to New Zealand, from traditional occupations such as doctors, teachers, nurses, to more unusual skills such as sky diving instructors," he said.
Additional factors that appear to be attracting UK citizens to the country include lower rates of income tax and an improved quality of living.
The Association of Independent Tour Operators recently suggested Sweden as an affordable destination due to current exchange rates.
