Dubai could prove lucrative for Britons making international money transfers to the country.

Emigrants from the UK may benefit from a recent fall in house prices, which makes homes in the region more affordable.

Charles Neil, chief executive of the Landmark Advisory, revealed that last year saw a 23 per cent drop in the value of homes in the affluent Springs area of the city.

In addition, prices fell a further 32 per cent this year, which may prove beneficial to Britons making money transfers to Dubai.

Mr Neil explained that the falling price of homes is likely to stabilise soon, so property investors can be confident they will see a return on their assets.

"We have witnessed a price drop in the market that while continuing is showing signs of stabilising in certain locations," he said.

Shelter Offshore recently advised Britons making international money transfers to Dubai to open off-shore bank accounts.
