The Antibes region of France is in a prime position for people looking to make an international money transfer to purchase a new property, it has been claimed.
People planning to transfer money to the region will have plenty of options should they be looking to purchase a property, according to the Antibes Juan-les-Pins tourist board.
Lucy Howard, a representative from the board, said the area is seeing a surge of people looking for second homes.
"You can find everything from luxury villas to small, modern flats. It's a very multi-cultural community so people are very well accepted there," she explained.
Ms Howard added: "It is a very popular area with the British."
According to the Office for National Statistics, of all visits abroad by UK residents in 2007, 36 per cent were to either Spain or France, with the number of French visits increasing by 3.2 per cent increase to 11.2 million compared to the previous year.
