People planning to head to Australia to emigrate and make an international money transfer are being urged to continue applying, despite recent changes to the country's immigration rules.
Many people from the UK have been enticed into making an international money transfer and emigrating to Australia over recent years, with the country desperate for skilled workers in a variety of industries.
However, with the global economic downturn hitting several sectors, workers in industries such as construction are no longer needed in the numbers that Australia had previously been hoping for.
Nonetheless, Paul Arthur from The Emigration Group has told Britons considering emigrating to Australia that there remain plenty of opportunities for them.
"The Australian government still wants skilled construction workers such as plumbers and brick layers to apply now for visas," he told heatingandventilation.net.
"Immigration authorities have stated their intention to continue to bring skilled workers from abroad to fill labour gaps, despite the modest cut to overall immigration numbers," he added.
Recent figures from perfectholidayhome.co.uk found that four-in-five Britons are keen to make an international payment and would emigrate if there were no barriers in their way.
