The Picardy region of France is an ideal location for British travellers to head to, it has been claimed.

Claude Chaboud, marketing and PR manager for the Picardy tourist board, suggests that the area is perfect for Britons looking to get away from the UK for a break, offering good opportunities for people looking to buy an overseas property.

People planning a money exchange to purchase a holiday home in the region can benefit from the vast number of British tourists that head to Picardy, by being able to rent out their acquisition to British travellers.

Mr Chaboud said: "[Picardy] is very close to Britain, whether you want to travel from Dublin or Glasgow, it has direct flights."

He continued: "From London there is the Eurostar, and the ferries, so it is very, very accessible."

That is an important consideration for people planning to make a money exchange to purchase a property in the area, because it means the property will be within easy reach should a trip be necessary.

Picardy is within a 300km radius of three big European capitals of Paris, Brussels and London. It has a variety of attractions, including 70 parks and gardens.
