More people in the UK could be reaching for a foreign exchange currency converter as they consider buying property in Brittany.
According to the region's tourist board, there has been a growth in the number of people travelling to the area since the introduction of direct flights from the UK, offering new opportunities for Britons to purchase a property in the area.
Britons are finding it easier to visit Brittany as direct flights to Rennes are making it more accessible, according to the Brittany Tourist Board.
Michael Dodds, director of the Brittany Tourist Board, explained: "We've got airlines coming in through Rennes and regional airlines coming in to Brest and Quimper."
That would make it easy for a person in the UK to look after a property in Brittany, by simply hopping on one flight across the channel.
Such a possibility could see many more Britons looking for a foreign exchange currency converter to work out what they could afford in Brittany.
Mr Dodds has also said that the influx of Britons to Brittany is helping more people to discover the region's hidden secrets.
"A few thousand British people have settled in inland Brittany and they are very much a driving force in helping people appreciate the inland waterways within Brittany and the undiscovered forests in the centre," he said.
