Investors looking to make an international payment on a secluded Caribbean property may want to turn their attention to the largest of the Virgin Islands, St Croix.
Despite being the biggest island, St Croix is the least developed, offering sandy beaches and underwater activities that may appeal to Britons planning to rent local properties during the holiday season.
Additionally, NorwichBulletin.com reports that the island has only 55,000 inhabitants, making it a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Britain's city life.
Renters are likely to find something for all tastes on the island, which offers cliffs and a rainforest to explore at one end and a coral reef at the other.
It also has two major cities - Frederiksted and Christiansted - that boast restaurants, bars and jewellery stores.
Owner of the Barbados' Island Villas Richard Eames recently told Country Life that the island's rental market is currently booming, which could be just the news investors have been waiting for in order to make an international payment on a property in the region.
