The Caribbean property rental market is seeing a boom as investors bide their time on purchases; investors may be interested to read.
Because of a reduction in the number of people currently making an international payment on a property in the area, the rental market is getting stronger - especially in Barbados.
Speaking to Country Life, Richard Eames, owner of Island Villas in Barbados, said: "Our rental business has never been stronger because all of the potential buyers are sitting on their hands and waiting to see what happens."
He added that Barbados can command the higher rental values of the Caribbean islands, beating other popular areas including Grenada and St Lucia.
Currently, investors willing to make an international payment on a plot of land at the Dominican Republic's Swaying Palms resort are being offered a guaranteed return and a buy-back guarantee of 167 per cent in two years.
