Britons are reportedly missing out on perfect properties in Italy because they are holding out for something better.
This is according to Linda Travella of Casa Travella, an Italian estate agent that has been in operation for 24 years.
Ms Travella explained that Brits are losing out to other nationalities because they always expect something perfect to be just around the corner.
However, with the market starting to pick up, overseas property buyers might want to move quickly before they find prices pushed out of their range.
This is especially the case in Italy, where the market has not suffered as much as in other European countries.
International money transfers can help expatriates to move more euros by offering them a better rate of exchange.
According to Ms Travella, expatriates from Holland, the US, Germany and Russia are accounting for the majority of overseas interest in Italian property.
