International money transfers to Spain could be on the rise after it has been noted that the country is still drawing in lifestyle buyers.
Robin Wilson, head of overseas at Rightmove, said that he doesn't see this pull ending any time soon.
"Many buyers we talk to are looking to take advantage of lower prices, but they are equally wary of buying into properties without standout features and facilities," he added.
The comments follow the publication of the latest house price statistics from Spain's National Statistics Institute.
According to the data, house prices in Spain fell by 0.1 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2010 and have fallen by 1.9 per cent in the past year.
Mr Wilson added that vendors who have bought flats and apartments in large blocks and resorts may find that they are struggling to get a good price for their properties "unless they can build a strong case for the area and the benefits to renters or owners".
Using a foreign exchange broker to make international money transfers to Spain will help to keep down the cost of buying property in Spain.
