International money transfers to France and Germany could be on the rise as the two countries have shown significant improvement in their popularity with overseas property buyers.

Indeed, the latest report from Rightmove Overseas found that Germany showed a 49.48 per cent increase in searches over the past month.

Meanwhile, French regions, including the Midi-Pyrenees, Alpes-Maritimes and the Loire Valley, were also shown to have received increasing levels of interest.

Robin Wilson, head of overseas at Rightmove, commented on other countries' standings: "Bargain hunters are out in force, primarily focused on Spain and Ireland, both markets with well documented supply/demand problems and negative headlines.

"This interest helped properties in Ireland rise four places up to 11th, in our search chart, an all time record for the Emerald Isle."

Using a foreign exchange broker to make an international money transfer can help keep down the cost of buying foreign property.
