More people could be interested in making international money transfers to Spain as one Spanish property agent has seen interest increase dramatically.
Website Property-spanish.com saw enquiries increase by 150 per cent in 2011 compared to last year.
Mile Price, sales director of the firm, commented: "We have seen a clear increase in enquiries for property on the Costa Calida, especially along the coast and in the regions gold resorts."
The fact that property prices are substantially lower than last year is contributing to the boost in interest, he explained.
Indeed, prices are now up to 50 per cent less than they were a few years ago, with a sea view property available for under €50,000 (£40,000).
Using a foreign exchange broker to make international money transfers to Spain can help keep additional costs as low as possible by avoiding fees and poor exchange rates when you move money for your mortgage payments.
