International money transfers to US could buy a bargain

Making an international money transfer to the US could be a good idea right now as there are a large number of cheap properties available.

Les Calvert, director at Property-Abroad.com, has noted that distressed sales in the Miami area of the continent are delivering a lot of properties at very low prices.

While sales are going quickly, there is still a large number of distressed sales and repossessions in the Florida region.

He commented: "The first thing that springs to mind is the cost of properties over there at the moment, with the repossessions and distressed properties.

"We have advertised repossession condos in Florida from £12,500 that are minutes from Disney World."

Using a foreign exchange broker to make an international money transfer to the US can help keep these property prices down by avoiding high foreign exchange fees often charged by banks.

The comments come as the Miami Association of Realtors and the Southeast Florida Multiple Listing Service confirmed that sales of existing condominiums in Miami in January 2011 increased by 134 per cent compared to January 2010.
