The current economic boom in Brazil means that it is a hotspot for those looking to make an international payment on a property there.
According to property professionals at firm uv10, domestic tourism in the country helps to keep it afloat, which could be good news for investors looking to purchase a property via an international payment and rent it out.
"You've got more Brazilians with money and there is a great opportunity for Europeans to come in and take advantage of that," commented Samantha Gore, sales manager at uv10.
She went on to say that Brazil is popular among investors because of the year-round warm weather and welcoming people. She advised those thinking of purchasing a property there to stay in the country for holidays and rent it out for the remainder of the time.
"You've got a long rental season because it is warm all year round and a long season you can rent it out for," Ms Gore suggested.
According to figures recently published by the Halifax, those in Brazil for the Rio carnival were likely to have enjoyed a favourable exchange rate compared with six months earlier.
