Organising international money transfers to France could help to lower the cost of ski property.

Plans for an exclusive development in the Les Houches area of Chamonix have recently been unveiled by French property firm MGM.

The group is due to build eight two and three-bedroom apartments in a traditionally-styled chalet building.

Scheduled to be completed before Christmas 2011, the apartments will include underground car parking and secure storage space for skis and snowboards.

However, property in the Alps isn't cheap and prices can be increased when you factor in currency exchange rates.

Using an independent foreign exchange broker to make an international money transfer to France can help avoid excessive currency costs.

Richard Deans, sales consultant at MGM's London office, commented: "Les Houches has an attractive skiing area which suits everyone, from beginners to experts as well as snowboarders.

"It winds through pine forests down to the village so those staying at the Residence Le Tetras Lyre will be able to ski to the door."
